Sin City
Avatar
(…my own first level jesus.)
What is an avatar
An earthy manifestation of the Divine?
Avatars differ from angels
in a multitude of ways subtle and obvious.
think of angels as holy administrative assistants.
was Buddha an avatar for nihilism?
if I say, I believe in nothing
I am accused of being a nihilist.
if I say, I am thinking about a nothing
I am accused of being a Buddhist.
if I say, I do not believe in thinking
you accuse me of being monotheistic.
tomorrow I will refuse to discriminate
and tell you I believe in everything.
what would you call me then…
heathen, pagan, pantheist, omni-theists?
Am I just another fool
legion for we are one of many
dealt from the bottom of the deck
face down in a house of tarot cards?
think of angels as heavenly croupiers
heaven is a town much like Las Vegas
where the odds are always long
the house always wins
and the architecture is a gaudy abomination
of gold paved boulevards.
the cathedrals are casinos resonating with the collective
whimpered prayers of hypocrite congregation
incensed atmosphere reeking of insincerity and desperation
no yours was not a jailhouse conversion
you were young and full of good intentions
prostrating yourself before one armed bandits
perpetually praying for the second coming
to arrive as the holy trinity of three dollar signs.
this is a place with out windows or clocks
as sterile as a hospital or a shopping mall
a place where they want you to forget
about the world outside.
this is a place where prayers are consumed
this is a faith-based economy.
on earth, we place side bets with our souls in eternity.
here in New Rome most claim to worship the god of love
However, they are confused
by the dogma dripping obfuscation’s
of so called holy men
by their actions and lives
it is apparent that they worship
the god of power money and war
mammon
god of the leisure class
god of the middle class
god of gods
jesus is not gods’ avatar
jesus is a just high level cleric.
look into mirrors for gods’ avatar
we who were created as a reflection of divinity
whose every aspect is a manifestation of the beloved
of whom so much is written
and so little is understood.
